​Dear Students and Friends of Asha Yoga and Meditation Center,

Ten years ago I had the vision of a donation based yoga center, yes 10 years in May!

My hope was to provide a place for anyone and everyone to experience the benefits of yoga. That hope and so much more has been truly fulfilled. Since that time over 1000 students have come thru our doors. There have been workshops, teacher trainings and awesome retreats.​

I write this with a sense of melancholy and awe as I reflect on these 10 years. It has been a journey of immense gratitude for the teachers and students who have so generously and lovingly supported this endeavor. My heart is full of love and gratitude.

Some may know, but many of you may not, April 10,2022 I took a serious fall and fractured my pelvis. I had surgery April 12th and am currently in rehab. I will not be able to bear weight for the next 4-6 weeks and will be in a wheelchair.

All in all this “accident” validated my thoughts of shifting the direction of Asha Yoga and Meditation center. With that being said, Asha Yoga and Meditation Center will be changing it’s mission and no longer offering donation based yoga classes. Our last donation classes will be the week of May 2 -May 5.

Asha Yoga and Meditation Center’s new mission is to create a place of connection, learning, sharing and community. My new hope is to create a shala (house of kindred spirits). Yoga classes will still be available at Asha, schedule and cost will be determined by each individual teacher. Additionally, we will be turning our focus to one-on-one yoga therapy and individual private yoga sessions.

We will continue to hold events, education, meditation and workshops such as:

~Burning Bowl/Letting Go workshop

~Reiki level 1,2, 3

~Book Club

~Guided and Silent Meditations

~Retreats

~Yoga Teacher Training

~Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers.

I this hope this change will inspire you to grow more and expand your practice of yoga.

I am beyond grateful to all who have loved, supported and encouraged me in this journey. I am looking forward to a new journey with you. This is an adventure of a lifetime. I will be back stronger and with so much more to offer.
